Quality Plywood Co
About Quality Plywood Co
Quality Plywood Co is a plywood maker in Waynesboro, Mississippi, at 160 Marshall Durbin Drive. Its land and timber division buys tracts of timber for harvesting hardwood gum and poplar logs. The business opened its doors in 1976 and works from Wayne County. The logs feed the company's own veneer, which goes into the curved plywood it makes at the plant. The land side of the business is described as land management and log procurement. The work starts in the woods. In the company's words, "Quality starts at the very beginning by surveying the timber." After the survey, the logs are brought from the forest straight to the company's yard. This suits a landowner with gum or poplar stands who wants a buyer that surveys the timber first and hauls the logs to its own yard, and who is comfortable selling to a plywood plant.
