Camp Creek Hardwoods
About Camp Creek Hardwoods
Camp Creek Hardwoods is a custom sawmill in Hawk Point, Missouri, run by owner Brad McCarty. The business describes itself with "Custom Sawmill Service Hardwood Lumber," taking logs and turning them into lumber for landowners and woodworkers. The mill works with black walnut, hard maple, red oak, hickory, red cedar and sycamore. Beyond sawing, it offers slab flattening and thickness planing, so a log can come back as finished, usable boards rather than rough-cut stock. It also cuts smaller specialty pieces, listed as "Gun stock blanks, pistol grip blanks, knife scales, turning blanks, game call blanks & craft lumber," for anyone wanting material for gunsmithing, knife making or craft work instead of standard boards. This is a sawmill, not a timber buyer, so it suits a landowner who already has logs down and wants them custom sawn into lumber or specialty blanks, rather than someone trying to sell standing timber.
