About Wyco Wood Co.
Wyco Wood Co. is a mobile sawmill business working out of Kansas City. Instead of you hauling logs somewhere, they bring one of their two sawmills right to your land and mill the wood to your specs. They also do kiln drying, lumber sales, large log removal, and make dunnage, blocking, and wedges for shipping. They work mostly with aromatic red cedar, oak, walnut, and cherry. The process is straightforward: they haul their equipment out, cut the logs you want cut, and hand back workable lumber ready for a project rather than a pile of green boards. They call themselves family-owned and veteran-owned, and offer a free consultation before any work starts. Their reach covers the Kansas City Metro Area, including Lawrence, Olathe, Liberty, Smithville, and Platte City. This fits a landowner who has specific trees down or standing, wants them turned into usable lumber on-site rather than sold off as logs, and would rather deal with a small, hands-on crew than a big logging outfit.
