The Mill Experts
About The Mill Experts
The Mill Experts, run by Sawmill Associates, LLC, is based in New London, New Hampshire. This isn't a logger coming out to walk your woods. They work on the mill and lumber side of the business: "Sawmill Process Consulting, Mill Sales, and Lumber Brokerage." Their own description puts it plainly: Sawmill Associates provides "truck and carload purchasers of lumber with dimension, board, and panel lumber products from North America's leading mill producers." They handle Eastern White Pine, Spruce-Pine-Fir, Southern Yellow Pine, Plywood, OSB, and Cedar, among other species. Part of their work is helping mills move product lines or add sales capacity, which tells you they're dealing in volume and mill relationships rather than a single landowner's stand of trees. They list Merrimack County as an area they serve, with an office address at 276 Newport Rd. in New London. This one fits a landowner who already has a connection to a mill or logger and wants someone who understands the lumber brokerage and sales side, not someone to walk your back forty and mark trees for cutting.
