Sawkill Lumber LLC

About Sawkill Lumber LLC

Sawkill Lumber LLC is a sawmill and lumber business in Brooklyn, New York. They mill salvaged and regionally harvested wood into flooring, paneling, and dimensional lumber, working mostly with reclaimed material and bringing in new white and red oak when reclaimed stock won't do. This is not a business that buys standing timber or logs trees on your land. They work with wood already cut, much of it pulled from old city buildings, and mill it to order. Species on hand include white oak, red oak, cypress, redwood, longleaf pine, Douglas fir, and northeast softwoods, sold as flooring, paneling, or dimensional lumber. They say "we primarily work with reclaimed lumber," and ask that you call ahead, since visits to their Brooklyn warehouse are "by appointment." They serve Kings County. No minimum tract size is given. If you have standing timber to sell, this isn't the shop for it. But if you're a landowner with a building coming down, or old timber already cut and sitting in a barn or a pile, and you want it milled into something useful rather than hauled off, Sawkill Lumber LLC is worth a call.
