Salt City Woods, Mill & Kiln, LLC is a mill and kiln shop in Liverpool, New York. They don't buy standing timber or log land. Instead they work with wood that's already been cut, mostly yard trees and street trees taken down by municipalities and tree services, and turn it into kiln dried slabs and dimensional wood. If you've got a landowner's question about who will come cut your timber, this isn't that business. But if you've already got logs, or you're curious where salvaged wood ends up, they keep a changing inventory of Ash, Butternut, Maple, Oak, Sycamore, Cherry and Black Walnut, all kiln dried in house. They can also flatten tables, bar tops and slabs on their CNC machine, and they'll work with you to design a custom piece. In their words, "we are not loggers and simply repurpose a great natural resource into usable material that will continue to live on." This fits someone who wants finished or custom wood products, not a standing timber sale. If you own acres of trees and want to know who will cut and buy your timber, look elsewhere on this directory.
