Farmington Forest Management
About Farmington Forest Management
Farmington Forest Management is a logging contractor and timber management company out of Palmyra, New York. They handle timber management, full service logging, tree harvesting, and timber harvest work, and their woodsmen are NYS Certified Loggers. They work with all the usual hardwood species: walnut, cherry, hard maple, red oak, white oak, black oak, birch, red maple, silver maple, tulip poplar, hickory, butternut, ash, beech, elm, sycamore, sassafras, and locust, among others. They say they're "ready to manage and harvest your high quality timber stands, six days a week, twelve months throughout the year, with safety as our top priority." Their crews carry NYS Workers Compensation and Disability Insurance, plus liability coverage, and they say they keep training through logger workshops each year. They cover the Finger Lakes region of Central-Western New York, with Ontario County among the counties they list, along with Monroe, Wayne, Seneca, Cayuga, Livingston, and Genesee, and a long list of townships inside them. There's no stated minimum acreage, and no sample jobs or acreages are given to go by either. This looks like a fit for a landowner in or near Ontario County who wants a logging contractor with certified crews and insurance in place, rather than a one-person operation, and who's comfortable reaching out directly since no pricing or sale process is spelled out ahead of time.
