Timber Services Inc is a family-owned sawmill in Carthage, North Carolina. It's been running since 1996, and it specializes in longleaf pine lumber and heart pine flooring, cut and milled on site. This isn't a place to sell standing timber or get your woods logged. It's a mill that takes logs and turns them into rough-sawn boards, flooring, paneling, shiplap, beams, mantles, and pressure-treated lumber, all in longleaf pine and heart pine. Owner William J. "Bill" Gingerich has worked in forestry and wood products since 1983, with forestry and wood science degrees from Paul Smith's College and Colorado State University. He bought his first sawmill in 1995 and has personally selected, sawn, and inspected orders ever since. Logs come from "small, low-impact tracts," and the boards are "sawn on our Baker Band mill for precision." The mill serves Moore County directly, and ships lumber to customers across the country and overseas. It keeps regular weekday hours, with Saturdays by appointment. If you're a landowner with standing timber to sell, this isn't that kind of business.
