Beam Logging
About Beam Logging
Beam Logging is a family owned logging company out of Lincolnton, North Carolina, on Furnace Road. They do traditional logging work, buy timber, and write forestry management plans. Loblolly is the species they name. Their work covers clearcut harvesting, select cut harvesting, and thinning to remove underperforming pine within a loblolly plantation. They also handle timber stand improvement, like facilitating herbicide application and replanting, and they write management plans landowners can use for the NC Present Use Tax if they own 20 acres or more. A sale starts with their timber buyer coming to walk the property and give you an estimate of value, free of charge. If you move forward, you sign a timber contract, and payment is either a lump sum when equipment arrives or pay-as-cut each Monday while the job runs. They close out based on North Carolina Forest Service standards. They serve Lincoln County. They don't shy away from small or tight properties, and they specifically mention urban logging on 5 acres or less, working in close quarters. In their own words, "We will work with you to harvest in tight areas and are not opposed to small acreages." Since no stated minimum acreage appears, that small urban logging category is the closest thing to a floor they've named. This fits a landowner with a modest, maybe awkward-shaped tract who wants a straightforward, family-run outfit willing to look at small jobs without turning them away.
