About Hunt Forest Resources, LLC
Hunt Forest Resources, LLC is a timber buyer based in Moncure, North Carolina, with forestry consulting, firewood, and wood recycling run alongside it. They buy stumpage, sawlogs, pulpwood, and chip-n-saw timber in pine and hardwood, and they also handle forest management plans and mapping, timber cruise and volume estimates, timber appraisal, timber sale and contract administration, reforestation, timber stand improvement, prescribed burning, herbicide application, insect and fire protection, and wildlife and recreation management. Their registered forester holds N.C. Registered Forester #1438, and the company carries ProLogger and American Tree Farm System (ATFS) standing. They work across a long list of North Carolina counties, from Alamance, Durham, and Wake, through Chatham and Moore, down to Brunswick and New Hanover, and out east to Dare, Hyde, and Beaufort, along with many others. On their own pages they describe offering "a diverse range of services that span the entire lifecycle of forest products, from land and timber management to sustainable harvesting, real estate services, wood products manufacturing and beyond," and say they manage "7,000 acres of timberland annually" across four facilities in the state. This suits a landowner who wants one outfit that can buy the timber, write the management plan, and keep an eye on the ground afterward, rather than stitching together a buyer, a consultant, and a logger separately.
