About JM Barbee Enterprises Inc
JM Barbee Enterprises Inc is a timber buyer based in Chillicothe, Ohio, founded in 2001. They buy logs straight from landowners with standing timber, as well as from loggers and from sawmills across the midwest. Their focus is on two species: white oak and walnut. Walnut tends to come from northern Indiana, northern Ohio, and southern Michigan, while most of the white oak comes from southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. In their own words, "our two specialties are white oak and walnut." They're listed as serving Ross County, and their buyers cover ground across northern Ohio, southern Ohio, Northern Kentucky, northern Indiana, and southern Michigan. This fits a landowner in that stretch of the midwest who has stands of white oak or walnut and wants to deal directly with a buyer who specializes in those two species rather than a general timber operation.
