About Millwood Lumber Inc
Millwood Lumber Inc. is a family owned business in Gnadenhutten, Ohio. They buy standing timber and land, and the same outfit runs a sawmill and handles logging, lumber, and firewood too. Jeff Miller owns the place. On the timber side, they work with hardwood. Besides timber, they say they're also interested in buying land parcels outright for their own development. Their process is straightforward: before any job starts, a contract gets drawn up and the trees marked for cutting are painted, so you know exactly what's coming down and what's staying. They describe themselves as "not a clear-cut company" and say they try to leave your woods looking close to how it was before they came through. Their crews are insured, and they offer a "free, no obligation quote" if you want to find out what your timber might bring before committing to anything. Their stated service area is Ohio and surrounding states, and in Ohio they're listed as serving Tuscarawas County, with the business itself based in Gnadenhutten, in Coshocton County's listings. This fits a landowner in Tuscarawas County or nearby who wants one phone call to cover buying the timber, logging it, and milling it, without bringing in separate contractors for each step, and who wants to see the cut marked and a contract signed before anyone touches a tree.
