Trico Enterprises

About Trico Enterprises

Trico Enterprises is a timber buyer, sawmill, and logging business based in Millersburg, Ohio, in "the heart of Amish Country." They buy standing timber, offer custom drying of hardwood lumber, and buy and sell veneer logs. They look for White Oak, Walnut, Hard Maple, Hickory, and other hardwood species. A sale starts with one of their timber buyers meeting you on your land to look it over and talk through what you want for it. They come back to mark, scale, grade, and price the trees, and once you're satisfied and the contract is signed, a crew moves in to harvest. When the work is finished, the crew reclaims the site, "seeded in, back bladed, leveled," with roads cleared at your request. Based in Holmes County, Trico Enterprises serves all of Ohio and has expanded into a few bordering states. They say the company is fully insured, and that their logging crews are insured as well. They belong to the National Hardwood Lumber Association, the Ohio Forestry Association, and the Indiana Hardwood Lumbermen's Association. They have worked in the sawmill business since 1972. This suits a landowner in or near Amish Country Ohio who wants one outfit to buy the timber, log it, and clean up the ground afterward, with some trade group credentials behind the name.
