Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Hood River, OR

Wyeast Timber Services LLC is a logging outfit out of Hood River, Oregon. They buy timber, log it, and also do forestry consulting, working across Oregon, Washington, and California. The business was founded in 2011. The work covers forest management, project planning, harvesting, stand assessment, road building, fuel reduction, reforestation, and wildland fire support. They also run a trucking division for hauling logs to the mill. On a sale, they'll look over your land and timber and then work out a deal, whether that's for standing timber or the timber deed itself. They say they "welcome challenging and technical logging sites along with standard operations," so steep ground or tricky access isn't automatically a dealbreaker. There's no stated minimum acreage. Their listed projects run from log sorting on a county timber sale down to fire cleanup and orchard logging jobs, so smaller or oddly shaped parcels appear to be something they've handled before. This fits a landowner in the Hood River area with a harvest that isn't straightforward, whether that's fire-damaged timber, steep slopes, or a property that needs planning help alongside the actual cutting.
