Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Tillamook, OR

Rieger Logging is a logging company based in Tillamook, Oregon. They do ground-based and cable yarding logging, and also handle land clearing and timberland management, with forestry consulting as well. The work covers timber harvesting and marketing, clearing land down to stumps and brush, and ongoing timberland management that looks at wildlife habitat and forest health alongside harvest planning. On the logging side they talk about "building a lay", piling logs so the felled tree stays suspended and whole, since mills pay more for long, unbroken logs. They serve Tillamook, Washington, Yamhill, Clackamas, Polk, Marion, Benton, Linn, Lincoln, and Clatsop counties. The family has over 55 years in forest management and timber marketing. There's no stated minimum acreage, but their land clearing work has ranged from a few trees around a home up to 70-acre tracts converted to farmland, so they're set up to handle anything in that range. They talk about wanting to "remove the middleman" on timber sales, aiming to save landowners time and money by handling the marketing themselves rather than just the cutting. This fits a landowner in the Tillamook area, or nearby counties, who wants one outfit to handle the cutting, the land clearing, and the longer-term management plan, not just a one-time harvest.
