Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Yamhill, OR

A-1 Logging Inc is a logging contractor in Yamhill, Oregon. Larry Heesacker started the business back in 1985 with a chainsaw and a pick-up truck, and his family still runs it today. They handle complete logging jobs, thinning, clear-cutting, land clearing and leveling, road building, and reforestation after a harvest. They work in timber, logs, and pulp, and they say they have "close relationships with mills all over the region" to help find buyers for your logs, plus export contacts for straight logs and connections to pulp mills if your timber is lower grade. Larry holds a Master Woodland Management certification, earned in 2002. There's no stated minimum acreage, but one landowner they worked with describes a 5 acre lot that needed thinning and a home site cleared, so small jobs are something they've done. They also say they can clear-cut hundreds of acres, so the range runs wide. They're based in Yamhill and list Yamhill County as their service area, within the Pacific Northwest more broadly. This fits a Yamhill County landowner with a small lot needing thinning or a house site cleared, as much as one with a large stand ready for a full harvest. From a1logging.com, read 4 October 2026.
