Pine Ridge Forest Products LLC
About Pine Ridge Forest Products LLC
Pine Ridge Forest Products LLC is a timber buyer and sawmill out of Blairsville, Pennsylvania. They buy standing timber and logs, run their own sawmill for custom lumber, and also sell blocking and cribbing lumber and firewood. They work in ash, basswood, beech, cherry, hickory, hard maple, soft maple, red oak, white oak, poplar, and walnut. On a timber sale, a forester visits your woodlot, marks and measures the trees as part of a free appraisal, and you get a tally and price before anything is cut. They say their crews are "SFI-certified logging crews" and that the company is fully insured. They've been at this 20 years, doing forestry and timber harvesting work across southern and southwest Pennsylvania. They serve Indiana, Somerset, Bedford, and Westmoreland counties, working within about 100 miles of their sawmill in Blairsville. They state a minimum of 10 acres: "We specialize in managing woodlots of 10 acres or more, serving clients within a 100-mile radius of our sawmill." This fits a landowner in that four-county stretch of southwestern Pennsylvania with a woodlot of 10 acres or better, who wants a forester to mark and tally the trees before any cutting starts.
