TBM Hardwoods Inc

About TBM Hardwoods Inc

TBM Hardwoods Inc is a hardwood mill and lumber manufacturer in Hanover, Pennsylvania. It's listed as a mill, found in the Adams County business register, and serves York County. They mill, kiln-dry, and supply premium hardwood lumber, along with custom mouldings and flooring. The species list is long: Alder, Ash, Cherry, Hickory, Hard Maple, Soft Maple, Red Oak, White Oak, Poplar, and Walnut, plus imported woods like Brazilian Cherry, Genuine Mahogany, Red Grandis, African Mahogany, Sapele Mahogany, and Spanish Cedar. Most of the domestic lumber comes from the Appalachian region, from West Virginia to New York. Work runs from procurement through kiln drying and grading, then milling, packaging, and delivery, all handled in-house. They call this being "vertically integrated," and say it keeps quality control from start to finish. They're an FSC certified hardwoods distributor, able to supply material for LEED-certified projects. On their history, they say, "We represent seven generations of McIlvains in hardwood distribution," which points to a long run in the trade. This fits a landowner who already has logs or rough-sawn lumber and wants it turned into finished hardwood boards, custom mouldings, or flooring, more than someone just trying to sell standing timber off the land.
