About Bailey Wood Products Inc

Bailey Wood Products Inc is a sawmill and lumber business in Kempton, Pennsylvania. It has been in operation since 1928. The business buys standing timber and also runs a mill shop, selling kiln-dried lumber, live edge slabs, and Douglas Fir timbers for construction and woodworking projects. The shop carries a wide range of species, from White Oak, White Pine, Maple, Poplar, and Butternut to imported woods like Purpleheart, Padouk, Yellowheart, Bloodwood, and Wenge. Services include custom millwork, hardwood flooring, kiln drying, thermal modification, laser engraving, and glued products. They can surface and sand material up to 52 inches wide for large tops and panels, and their slabs end up in "micro breweries, restaurants, kitchens, conference tables in board rooms." They serve Berks County. There's no stated minimum acreage, but the smallest timber tract mentioned in the company's own history is 27 acres, a White Pine tract with some Maple, Poplar, and Oak that came in at "close to 1 Million Board Feet." This fits a landowner in Berks County with a mixed hardwood or pine stand who wants a long-established local mill, one that can both buy standing timber and turn logs into finished lumber and slabs on site.
