Brotzman's Woodworks

About Brotzman's Woodworks

Brotzman's Woodworks is a sawmill and woodshop in Laceyville, Pennsylvania, in Bradford County. They are not timber buyers and they don't do logging or forest management. What they do is turn logs into lumber and lumber into finished work. Their shop runs a Woodmizer sawmill, a Granberg Alaskan chainsaw mill for big slabs, and an in-house Nyle dehumidification kiln. They can process logs up to six feet across. They cut and dry hemlock, other softwoods, and hardwood, and they say "whether you are looking for a few Hemlock boards for a simple barn repair or a complete Timber Frame package, our shop has the capacity to fulfill any residential, commercial or agricultural requests." Beyond rough sawing, they build custom kitchens, staircases, closets, and handmade furniture, and they'll match existing millwork. They also offer kiln drying as a standalone service if you just need lumber dried right, not built into anything. They serve Northeast Pennsylvania and have been at this for close to 20 years. They describe themselves as environmentally friendly and lean toward natural, non-toxic finishes. This fits a landowner in Bradford County who has logs or standing timber they want turned into usable boards, slabs, or finished pieces, from a barn repair to a full kitchen, rather than someone who just wants to sell standing timber outright.
