Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Jackson, TN

Greg Hooper Logging is a timber buying, logging, and forestry consulting business based in Jackson, Tennessee. Greg buys timber and timberland, logs hardwood and pine of all sizes and grades, and also works as a forestry consultant. He takes on hardwood and pine jobs with a stated minimum tract size of 10 acres. When he buys timber, he can meet with you in person or evaluate the timber himself at no charge, and he gives landowners different payment options: paid in full before harvesting starts, or a percentage of the sale. He says he "purchases on a paid price in full before harvesting begins or on a percentage of the sale basis." Greg Hooper Logging carries workers compensation and general liability insurance, and all equipment is insured too. Greg is a Master Logger through the Tennessee Forestry Association. The business serves Madison County and describes its area as "serving all of West TN and surrounding areas." Greg started working for his father's logging company in 1985 and founded his own business in 1991, so he's been running it for decades. The work includes timber buying, timber marketing, logging services, and forest management, with attention to environmentally sensitive harvesting techniques. This fits a landowner with at least 10 acres of hardwood or pine in West Tennessee who wants a single business to handle buying, logging, and marketing the timber together, rather than hiring separate people for each step.
