ReGen Forest Analytics is a forestry consulting firm based in Lufkin, Texas. It plans and oversees work on forest land and does not buy timber. The firm says it is built on "more than a decade of hands-on operational experience," and it serves landowners throughout East Texas, in counties such as Angelina, Nacogdoches and Smith. ReGen will work with landowners who have as few as 20 acres. Its work covers timber cruising and forest inventory, long-term management planning, harvest planning, marketing and contract oversight, reforestation and silviculture planning, wildlife habitat and prescribed fire planning, and GIS mapping. Logging, planting and site preparation are done by subcontractors that ReGen oversees for you. The firm does not broker timber sales. Pricing is by flat fee for defined projects, hourly or monthly rates for ongoing work, retainers, or commission for some operational services. Each job starts with a consultation, then a site assessment and a written plan. You get a proposal covering scope, timeline and compensation, and work starts only after a formal agreement is signed. Founder Taylor Wilson holds the Certified Forester credential and is a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters.
