The site states he has been directly involved in the management of more than 200,000 acres of forestland, has an unusual background combining rural lending and timberland appraisals, and "is currently in the process of obtaining his general appraiser license." It names his involvement in the Texas Forestry Association, American Tree System and the Association of Consulting Foresters, and says he is a founding council member and former chairman of the Texas Accredited Foresters Council.
