About UtahTreeCycle

UtahTreeCycle is a sawmill based at 2415 Bell Ln in Uintah, Utah, just outside Ogden. They mill urban trees that have been cut down or removed, turning logs into live edge slabs, fireplace mantels, and live edge rounds instead of letting that wood go to the landfill. Species on hand include ash, black walnut, cottonwood, American elm, Siberian elm, silver maple, honey locust, black locust, box elder, birch, catalpa, cedar, juniper, mulberry, Norway maple, Persian/English walnut, pine, Russian olive, and sycamore. Wood is dried in an iDry Plus vacuum kiln and checked with a moisture meter before it goes out. UtahTreeCycle says "We are passionate about providing you with the highest quality wood in Utah." They serve Weber County as part of their work across Northern Utah and the Wasatch Front, and they source their logs from Ogden and surrounding cities. This is a family operation, started when the owner and his father put together their own sawmill piece by piece and kept going from there. They now run three sawmills and a skid steer alongside the kiln. UtahTreeCycle suits a landowner who already has a tree down, or trees being removed, and wants that wood milled into slabs, mantels, or rounds rather than left for firewood or hauled off, not someone looking for a standing timber sale or a logging crew.
