About Brown's Forest Products Inc
Brown's Forest Products Inc is a sawmill in Drakes Branch, Virginia, in Charlotte County. It has operated since 1974 and calls itself a local, family-owned and -operated business. It buys timber from landowners, and it also buys land outright, harvests the timber, and handles the logging itself. Its office is on Craftons Gate Highway, and the phone number is 434-735-8179. The mill makes quality hardwood lumber, crossties, and boards. It also makes double-shredded hardwood bark mulch from the wood it processes. The business names the Southern VA area as the place it serves and says it is a proud member of the Railway Tie Association. It offers free estimates. Discounts are available but depend on payment terms, so ask about those before you agree to anything. Safety is named as the main priority. On its own page, the business says: "If you own land with timber, we are prepared to buy wood from you at a fair price." This suits a landowner with hardwood on the place who wants a local mill to take the timber or the whole tract, and who wants the payment terms spelled out before signing.
