North Fork Lumber
About North Fork Lumber
North Fork Lumber is a family-owned manufacturing facility in Goshen, Virginia, in Rockbridge County. It has been in operation for more than 25 years, specializing in wood and timber products, and most of its work is log homes. The company describes itself as a "family-owned manufacturing facility," and it sits in the midst of mountain pine forests. Its work is building log homes, not buying timber or logging. Customers choose one of the pre-packaged, moderately priced log home models, a larger and more elaborate kit, or have North Fork Lumber design, fabricate and deliver a custom log home to their own specifications. It will also manufacture from a customer's own floor plans. You can deal with the company directly, or bring in any professionals you choose to design and build the home. Delivery is quoted for each building site, and you will need equipment with at least 5000 pounds of lifting capacity to unload the kit. Its customers include homeowners and commercial facilities in a half dozen states in the Mid-Atlantic region. This suits a landowner who wants a log home built by a Virginia manufacturer that has been at it for more than 25 years, rather than someone looking to sell standing timber or hire a logger.
