Robinson Lumber Company
About Robinson Lumber Company
Robinson Lumber Company is a sawmill and wood products business headquartered at 4000 Tchoupitoulas Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. It makes lumber, flooring and decking, and it does surfacing and ripping. Charles Wesley Robinson founded it in 1893 in Meridian, Mississippi, and it is now run by the fifth generation of the Robinson family. The company bought a hardwood yard in Winchester, Virginia in 2015 and closed it in 2020. Its main hardwood yard today is in New Albany, Indiana. The wood it handles includes Long Leaf Pine, Heart Pine, Pitch Pine, White Oak, Hickory, Mahogany, Jatoba, Brazilian Cherry and Southeast Asian Hardwoods. It holds Forest Stewardship Council certification. The company has locations in North, Central and South America and sales offices in Europe and Asia. Its own motto is "Growing together since 1893." This one suits a landowner curious about a hardwood lumber and flooring business with a long export trade, rather than a local logger or forester. From roblumco.com, read 8 October 2026.
