Menzner Hardwoods Co.
About Menzner Hardwoods Co.
Menzner Hardwoods Co. is a hardwood mill and millwork manufacturer in Marathon City, Wisconsin. It is not a timber buyer or logging outfit. This is the place you'd think of if you want to know what a sawmill looks like on the other end of the log, turning wood into mouldings and millwork products, not a company that comes out and marks or cuts your trees. They work in Red Oak, White Oak, Hard Maple, Maple, Cherry, Pine, and Knotty Alder. They dry their own lumber in their own kilns and run their own trucks to ship finished product, something they describe as "integrated capabilities" that let them "meet your needs every step of the way." They've been doing this since 1894, so the operation has been in Marathon City for a long stretch. Their dealer network and product reach extends into Wisconsin and Kentucky. If you're a landowner with timber to sell, this isn't the business that walks your woods or writes you a harvest plan. It's a manufacturer further down the supply chain, the kind of operation that takes finished lumber and turns it into mouldings, flooring, stair treads, and trim. Good to know if you're trying to picture where your logs might eventually end up, but not who you'd call first to sell standing timber off 5 to 50 acres.
