Lars Woodcraft & Sawmill
About Lars Woodcraft & Sawmill
Lars Woodcraft & Sawmill is a woodworking shop and sawmill at 7293 Birchwood Drive in St. Germain, Wisconsin. Geoff "Lars" Larson runs it. He is a third-generation woodcraftsman with more than forty years of turning Wisconsin timber into furniture, live edge slabs, and one-of-a-kind pieces. The shop serves Minocqua, Eagle River, and St. Germain, and its listed county is Vilas. The sawmill cuts custom live edge or dimensional lumber at its shed in St. Germain, up to 16 feet long and 24 inches in diameter. You can bring your own logs, or the shop will haul them from your land to its shed. Portable sawmilling is also available at your location, with a quote on request. Slab finishing includes planing up to 20 inches wide and sanding up to 44 inches wide. The species it works with are Wisconsin timber, and the shop calls its work "real Wisconsin wood." The shop also builds ready-made pieces, custom commissions such as live edge mantles and full buildouts for a home or cabin, all made to your exact dimensions. It suits a landowner who has logs down on their own land and wants them sawn into slabs or lumber close to home, or who wants the finished furniture or cabin work made from that wood.
