M & W Forestry Consultants is a forestry consulting firm in Ozark, Alabama. They inventory timber, appraise it, and help landowners sell it. Their timber sale work covers appraisal, marketing, bid solicitation, contract negotiation, and supervision of the harvest. They also do herbicide application by air and by ground, reforestation with hand and machine planting, prescribed burning, and firelane and dozer work. They work in Dale County and across Southeast Alabama, Southwest Georgia, and the Panhandle of Florida. Clint Wilks is the owner and a registered forester. The team also includes Megan Wilks as owner, a staff forester, and several forestry technicians. The team says it brings decades of combined experience to the work. The firm puts it this way: "know the value of your timber before selling it." That matters because most landowners sell timber only a few times in their lives. This firm suits a landowner with timber in Dale County or nearby who wants one outfit to appraise and sell the timber, and who may later need planting or burning done on the same ground.
