Daugherty & Daugherty Forestry Services is a forestry consulting firm with its office in Danielsville, Georgia. It works with private landowners across the Southeast US on timber, wildlife, hardwoods and land. The firm also handles timberland and land sales. On the timber side, it can inventory and appraise standing timber, then prepare and oversee the marketing and harvest. Sales may be by negotiation or sealed bid. Payment may be lump-sum in advance or per unit with a partial advance. Harvests may be clear-cut, select-cut, or thinning. The firm also does boundary line marking, prescribed burning, plantation establishment, GIS mapping, and written forest management plans. The species it names are loblolly, longleaf and slash pine, sweetgum, red oak, white oak, green ash, yellow poplar, and eucalyptus. For hardwoods, it says it completes inventories and marketing "in a specialized method to maximize the revenues received from timber to be sold." Wildlife work includes food plot establishment and wildlife population sampling. Its yearly property inspection is described as a "particularly beneficial service for absentee landowners." Derek Dougherty is a Registered Forester with a PhD in Forest Management from the University of Georgia, and he is a licensed real estate agent in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
