Timber Buyers & Forestry Professionals in Joppa, AL

Drennen Forestry Corporation is a timber buying and forestry firm based in Cullman, Alabama. It has provided a timber market and forestry services to Alabama landowners since 1982. Its market for standing timber covers 28 counties in North Alabama, North Mississippi, and Central Tennessee, and it buys both pine and hardwood. The firm's foresters and timber buyers work with you to tailor the contract terms to your goals for the land. It buys a minimum of 15 acres. You can take a lump sum with payment in advance, or sell by the unit and be paid as the timber is harvested. Its work includes clear cuts, improvement cuts, thinnings, residential cuts, and harvesting. "All contract specs are met or exceeded." Every harvest follows Alabama's Best Management Practices for Forestry, which protect soil and water. Its land management group is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, and some mill customers pay a premium for FSC certified wood. If the firm harvests your timber, it supplies seedlings and labor to replant at no charge to group members. Forest management planning, site preparation, tree planting, and invasive species control are also available to land management clients. This suits owners with at least 15 acres of pine or hardwood in the firm's buying area who want a contract shaped to their goals and a company that can help with the land after the cut.
