About Canal Wood LLC

Canal Wood LLC is a timber buying, logging and forestry business listed in Marianna, Alabama. Its head office is in Conway, South Carolina, and it has been operating since 1937. It works with landowners and mills in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Florida. The work covers timber marketing and management, timber harvesting, forest management, inspections, mapping, and land and timber appraisals. It also does boundary line maintenance, firelines, breaks, roads, food plots and timber stand improvement. It buys veneer logs, sawtimber, chip-n-saw, pulpwood and fuel chips, and it works on mixed hardwood and pine stands, pine plantations and bottomland hardwoods. It has "over 100 timber buyers on staff" working from more than 40 regional and field offices. A sale starts with a consultation. The professional foresters assess each stand and find out your goals, then look for the best price for each type of timber, harvest it and haul it to the mills. The company describes itself as a "single point of contact" for buying and management. It is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), and it sells land through a subsidiary, Canal Land & Timber, LLC. Its contact form requires property of at least 10 acres. It suits a landowner with at least 10 acres of pine or mixed hardwood in one of its seven states who wants one firm to appraise, sell and log the timber. From canalwood.com, read 3 October 2026.
