Mid Sierra Milling is a mobile sawmill business out of Grass Valley, California, family owned, serving Grass Valley and surrounding communities including Placer County. They bring the mill to you. Specifically, they load up a Wood Mizer LT40 and set it up right on your property, then cut your trees into usable lumber on the spot. They can handle logs up to 18 feet long and 40 inches across. If you don't have trees of your own ready to mill, they also do custom cutting from logs already sitting in their own yard, working up slabs, beams, live edge siding, or whatever you have in mind. As they put it, "you tell us the dimensions of lumber you want, we make your vision a reality." The process is straightforward: you describe what you want cut, they bring the mill, and the lumber comes out the other end. No sale of standing timber here, this is about turning wood you already have, or wood from their yard, into finished boards and beams.
