TJ's Log and Timber is a log home builder and log mill in Bailey, Colorado, on Highway 285. The firm traces its start to 1980, when Jason and Terri began TJ's Wood Products, and it says it has been building for over 45 years. Its log mill sits on 10 acres in Pike National Forest, where all of its logs are processed. It takes on custom log homes of any size, along with log walkways, bridges, archways and entry gates, log railings and deck posts, log fencing and custom log furniture. The register also lists log trusses, beams, stairs, posts and poles, including products made from beetle-kill, blue-stained pine. The firm has contracted with the USFS to log sections of forest in Colorado, and it oversees its manufacturing from beginning to end. Every home log is inspected and grade stamped onsite by TPI (Timber Products Inspection, Inc.), its certified inspector. Its own heading reads "Our Log Mill is Part of the Forest." The company is family-owned and serves Park County.
