About SmurfitWestrock - Fernandina

Smurfit Westrock is the company the old westrock.com address now redirects to, and it describes itself as a global sustainable paper and packaging manufacturer. Across the company it reports paper and board capacity of roughly 23 million tons a year, 220 billion square feet of corrugated packaging made in 2025, and a network it puts at 62 paper mills and 63 recycling plants taking in about 13 to 14 million tons of recovered fibre annually. On virgin fibre it says it sources from small private landowners as well as from its own FSC and/or PEFC certified forests, that every forest it sources from is chain-of-custody certified, and that its paper mill system is 100% chain-of-custody certified. The corporate pages read for this listing are company-wide: none of them names the Fernandina mill, so none of the above should be read as a statement about this particular operation. As described on smurfitwestrock.com, read 22 September 2026.
