The company was created in June 2017 when Blue Wolf Capital merged Suwannee River Mulch with Forestry Resources, the firm that in 1983 turned melaleuca cleared from Florida wetlands into landscape mulch and whose FloriMulch brand the company still manufactures, and CenterGate Capital bought it in May 2021. From here it runs four Florida plants, a private trucking fleet and a lawn and garden line of mulch and soil brands, and frames the whole operation around wetland restoration, mitigation and exotic pest plant removal. A landowner should read the raw-material story carefully: the company describes recycling trees that would otherwise be piled and burned on project sites, and nowhere describes buying standing timber.
