Boatright Timber Service, Inc.
About Boatright Timber Service, Inc.
Boatright Timber Services presents itself as a full-lifecycle timber business rather than a sawmill alone. Its about page states that the firm was founded in 1983 by Alan Boatright, has served North Florida and South Georgia for more than 40 years, and was bought from him in 2024 by Drew Miller and Brad Oglesby, who the site says are continuing his approach. The services it advertises are land management, timber buying and logging, sawmilling, reforestation, forestry mulching, custom land clearing, firewood sales and delivery, forestry consulting, tractor services and forestry mowing, herbicide spraying and forestry burning, and food plots. On milling, the site says customers can bring cut timber in for drying and sawmilling or choose from the company's own cuts to get the boards they need, and it describes milling custom slabs for builders; its stated philosophy is that every cut should create value, harvesting with precision and optimizing yield. Land clearing is offered selectively or full-site, with stump removal and debris management, skid-steer and dozer-based options, and grading, preparation and erosion-control support. Firewood is a substantial part of the business: the company sells cut, split and seasoned hardwood, described as oak, hickory and cherry blends, by the legal cubic foot, with curbside pickup at what it calls its Havana timber yard or delivery with stacking available, and it publishes a price list by the cubic foot, by the twenty-cubic-foot scoop and by the cord. It says commercial firewood customers such as restaurants and hospitality businesses can have kiln-dried or seasoned wood. The site gives the yard address as 1466 FL-GA Hwy in Havana, posts weekday and Saturday morning hours, and closes Sundays. The business is recorded in the Primary Forest Products Network directory of the Southern Group of State Foresters as a Gadsden County mill buying hardwood and softwood. As described on boatrighttimber.com, read 23 September 2026.
