Timber Hill Woodworks is a sawmill at 1838 Hagar Avenue, just south of Chipley, Florida. It sells lumber and does custom wood milling for people across the Florida Panhandle. The main product is Southern Yellow Pine: rough-cut boards, fence posts, porch beams, and trailer decking, pressure-treated or green, sized to your specs. Custom slab cutting, surfacing, and finishing are also offered. Hardwoods such as oak, poplar, maple, pecan, hickory, cherry, gum, and walnut are named, but the hardwood and live edge slab lines are still marked coming soon. The mill started after Hurricane Michael, when downed timber covered the Gulf Coast. Founder John T. Hull spent more than 25 years running national brands such as Sherwin-Williams and Porsche before he bought his first mill and came home to wood. They say their prices are mill-direct and that "Need delivery? Just ask." Their stated service area covers Washington County, Bay, Walton, Holmes, Jackson, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties, the stretch from Tallahassee to Pensacola, and parts of Alabama and Georgia, including Dothan, Montgomery, Valdosta, and Thomasville. Weekday hours are 8am to 4:30pm, with weekends by appointment. This business suits a landowner who has wood to be milled into custom pieces, or who needs pine boards, posts, or beams for a building or fence job and wants a small local mill close to home.
