Bruner Lumber Co is a sawmill in Ponce De Leon, Florida, in the Northwest Florida part of the state. For over 35 years it has specialized in river recovered Sinker Cypress and Sinker Pine. In its own words, "we recover much of our lumber ourselves." The logs are old trees that sank while being floated to mills, and the company's divers search the old logging waterways of Northwest Florida and Southern Alabama for them. The work runs in three parts. Divers recover the logs, the logs are milled and dried on site, and the shop turns the wood into custom millwork. That includes flooring and ceiling planks, interior and exterior wall planks, corbels, brackets, rafter tails, and mantelpieces, plus custom profiles and special orders. The species it lists are Sinker Cypress, Pecky Sinker Cypress, Sinker Heart Pine, Tidewater Cypress, Sinker Pine, Longleaf Pine, and Curly Sinker Pine.
