Virgin Cypress is a sawmill and lumber company in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, with its yard at 5161 US Hwy 98 in West Santa Rosa Beach. It specializes in river recovered lumber, including Sinker Cypress and Pecky Cypress, and has been selling lumber since 1999. The facility is over 50,000 square feet, and the business says it holds over $3 million in inventory there. The mill handles millwork, flooring and ceiling planking, custom cut beams, tongue and groove, rafter tails and moulding. It keeps a knife library of more than 5,000 moulding profiles and will grind a custom knife if you need a profile it does not carry. The species it lists are Sinker Cypress, Pecky Cypress, Sinker Pine, Curly Sinker Pine and Tidewater Cypress. The cypress is dried to 10 to 12 percent moisture content. They also say they buy recovered logs along the Southeast coast, from Louisiana through South Carolina. Orders have a $500 minimum before freight. They ship anywhere in the United States and will send a sample package for a small shipping fee. Their own words for the process are "step by step," from sampling and ordering through to shipping.
