Hickory Ridge Portable Sawmill
About Hickory Ridge Portable Sawmill
Hickory Ridge Portable Sawmill is a small sawmill business based in Milan, Indiana. It is run by Dominic "Mick" Tallarico, a Certified Arborist who has been in the business for thirty years. The mill takes on sawing of any size, from a single log to hundreds of them, and also handles stacking and drying, rustic furniture, and custom chain saw carving. Mick's background as an arborist means he looks at what each tree is good for before it goes through the mill. The business says, "If you have one log or hundreds of logs, we can saw to your requirements." It serves Franklin County and describes its reach as "Serving The Tri-State Area," including Cincinnati, Ohio and Indiana. This fits a landowner who has a smaller amount of timber, even just a log or two, and wants it sawn into lumber or turned into something like furniture rather than sold off as a standing timber sale.
