About Johncock Forestry Products
Johncock Forestry Products is a sawmill and wholesale wood supplier working out of 5874 Heath Road in South Branch, Michigan. Alongside sawmilling, they also do timber buying and land clearing or site work, so if you've got standing hardwood or softwood on your ground, this is a shop that touches more than one side of the business. Their main trade is turning Michigan hardwood and softwood into usable product: wholesale sawdust, wood chips, pallet lumber, pallet manufacturing, and animal bedding, with delivery run through their own fleet of trucks and trailers. They call themselves "family owned and operated" and say they are "100% Michigan grown trees," which tells you they're not bringing in wood from out of state. They've been at it since 2009. On the ground, they say they're set up to serve Ogemaw County, with South Branch as their home base. They belong to the Hale Area Association, the Michigan Green Industry Association, the National Federation of Independent Business, and the Small Business Association of Michigan. This looks like a fit for a landowner near South Branch who wants to deal with a mill that also buys timber and can clear or work a site, rather than someone searching far afield for a forester to walk their woods and write a management plan.
