About Clendenin Lumber Co.-Baillie
Clendenin Lumber Co.-Baillie is a hardwood sawmill and concentration yard in Donalds, South Carolina. It is a subsidiary of Baillie Lumber Co. The mill produces green and kiln dried hardwood lumber and timbers, and it buys timber and hardwood logs from landowners and loggers in these North Carolina counties: Buncombe, Caldwell, Catawba, Cleveland, Gaston, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Lincoln, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mecklenburg, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania and Union. Red oak, white oak and poplar are the main species. It also buys ash, hickory, walnut and eastern white pine. It can arrange a complete timber harvest, or it can "purchase logs on the landing" or accept logs delivered to one of its sawmill locations. It has worked with landowners and loggers for years. It suits a landowner in one of those counties with red oak, white oak or poplar to sell, who wants one mill to buy the logs or arrange the whole harvest.
