About NWTL Inc.
NWTL Inc. is a logging contractor based in Sandy, Oregon. They describe themselves as "a full service logging contractor offering all phases of commercial harvest operations offered from ground-based logging to cable logging," which covers hand felling, tractor and shovel logging, and cable logging. Beyond cutting timber, they handle the whole chain: timber management plans, the harvest itself, and brokering the logs afterward. On brokering, they say they work with "relationships with smaller specialty markets such as small custom mills, log home builders, and commercial firewood suppliers," in addition to the bigger export, domestic, and pulp markets. They also do land clearing for people converting forest to farmland or a home site, charging by the acre, hour, or project, and they handle stump removal and slash disposal. Thinning and clear cutting jobs are billed on a percentage basis or by the MBF. For forest management, they work through pre-commercial thinning, multi-stage thinnings, clear cutting, and reforestation. There's no stated minimum acreage, but they say they take on "small stands of timber to large tracts," so size alone isn't a barrier. Their logging and timber work isn't tied to a single county, though their residential tree service is offered specifically to east Clackamas County. They're licensed, bonded, and insured under CCB# 192130, and they offer free timber evaluations and estimates before a job starts. This one suits a landowner who wants a single contractor to manage the standing timber, cut it, and find a buyer for the logs, rather than hiring separate people for each step.
