Lost Creek Industries is a sawmill in Springfield, Oregon, on Marcola Rd. It's a family-owned mill that has run since 1990, serving the Eugene-Springfield area and Lane County. This isn't a timber buying outfit. They mill cedar, working mostly with salvaged and reclaimed logs, and they say "100% salvaged timber and byproducts of pulp production" goes into their products. What comes off the saw includes cedar fencing, lumber decking, live edge slabs, custom built gates, raised garden beds, and clear vertical grain cedar lumber. They grade their own lumber in-house, from utility grade up to clear vertical grain, and they cut with a circular saw rather than a band mill, which gives the boards a rustic saw-swirl finish. Delivery is available, and the yard is open to the public. They say, "At Lost Creek we mill with intention from first cut to final board." They don't do construction work themselves, but they'll talk through a project and offer guidance on using their lumber if you call or stop by.
