About Delta Millworks

Delta Millworks describes itself as an award-winning, family-owned manufacturer of architectural-grade wood siding, paneling and decking, working from 4701 East 5th Street in Austin for more than 40 years. Its history page dates the business to 1985, when Bob Davis founded it in the same building the company still occupies, with a focus on architectural millwork and reclaimed longleaf pine; in 1994 it supplied longleaf pine millwork for a four-year restoration of the Texas State Capitol. The same page records the team beginning to burn wood with a torch in 2007, selling its first shou-sugi-ban cladding job in 2010, adding modified woods such as Accoya from 2015, thermally modified products in 2022 and a Lunawood ThermoWood range in 2023; by 2025 the company says it ships worldwide, and it lists placings on the Inc. 5000 in 2024 and 2025. The collections named are Accoya, thermally modified wood, Lunawood, western red cedar, shou sugi ban, Delta Prefinished and Old Souls Reclaimed, sold as exterior cladding, interior paneling, decking, soffits and interior ceilings. Everything is built to order and every step of manufacture is carried out in-house at the Austin facility, from rough lumber planks to a finished product, with quality control checks at each stage and crating in custom-built pallets for shipping. The customers named are architects, designers, builders and contractors; quotes carry the product information needed to write Delta into a building specification, and the company states lead times of two to three months for almost all products and a minimum order of 1,000 square feet, with smaller quantities directed to its overstock shop. Architect and builder tours are by appointment only. As described on deltamillworks.com, read 23 September 2026.
