The Texian Shop

About The Texian Shop

The Texian Shop describes itself as a complete millwork and custom furniture shop, opened in 1983 to provide architects, builders, designers and homeowners with architectural woodwork. The work it lists includes entry and interior doors, wainscoting, panelling, mantles and custom mouldings, and it says many woods are available, hand-selected for their natural colour and beauty. Past projects named on the site run beyond joinery to epoxy river tables, headboards, outdoor furniture, Adirondack chairs and farmhouse tables, alongside full sets of exterior and interior doors. The shop states that its doors are in homes in Austin and the Central Texas area and as far afield as Westchester County, New York. All work is carried out in the shop by the proprietor with the assistance of one co-worker, and the site says no part of the work is subcontracted out, which it gives as the reason for consistent quality. The site also records that in early 2019 the business was relocated from the Austin area to Conroe, while continuing to serve Central Texas, Bryan College Station and the Greater Houston area, so the Austin address held for this listing may no longer be where the work is done. Enquiries are made through a contact form on the site, which carries no telephone number. As described on texianshop.com, read 23 September 2026.
