About Georgia-Pacific

The website recorded for this Camden listing in Polk County, Texas is the corporate site of Georgia-Pacific, and only corporate pages came back when it was read. Those pages describe a company founded in 1927 in Augusta, Georgia, as Georgia Hardwood Lumber Company, a hardwood lumber wholesaler that then operated five sawmills in the South, acquired by Koch in 2005 and now run as a wholly owned subsidiary with more than 150 locations worldwide and over 30,000 employees. At company level it says it makes building products, cellulose, consumer tissue and tableware, packaging and recycled fibre, under brands including Quilted Northern, Brawny and Dixie, and its locations page lists Texas among the nearly 30 states in which it operates without naming individual plants. The corporate pages read for this listing do not name the Camden operation, do not say what it takes in or what it produces there, and give no hours, contacts or account of how work is quoted, so nothing here should be read as this mill's own description of itself, and the founding year, product lines and company-wide figures above belong to the parent rather than to the Camden site. Anyone needing particulars of the Camden facility would have to approach it directly. As described on gp.com, read 23 September 2026.
