westrock.com now redirects to smurfitwestrock.com, and the pages read are the global corporate site of Smurfit Westrock rather than anything about the Evadale mill. That site presents the company as a sustainable packaging manufacturer: it states that “in 2025, we manufactured 220 billion square feet of corrugated packaging and hold strong supply positions in the solid board, folding carton, and Bag-in-Box markets,” and that “we manufacture a wide range of renewable, recyclable and recycled paper and board, with a capacity of approximately 23 million tons per annum.” Its recycling page says that “with 63 recycling plants worldwide, we process approximately 14 million tons of recovered fiber annually across our 62 paper mills,” and describes closed-loop collection of used paper and cardboard from commercial customers, bought “at competitive rates.” On fibre supply it states: “We source fiber from small, private landowners as well as our own forests which are FSC and/or PEFC certified. All forests from which we source fiber are chain-of-custody certified,” and elsewhere that the “paper mill system is 100% CoC Certified.” Product pages cover corrugated, e-commerce, food-contact, foodservice, paperboard, protective packaging, bags and sacks, and display design. Careers material refers to “more than 500 locations worldwide,” and would-be suppliers are asked to complete a form on the Supplier Resources page, which is the only route the site offers a vendor or landowner. Nothing read names Evadale or the FM 105 mill, says what it produces or buys, or gives a local contact; the certification statements quoted above are made for the company’s system as a whole and not for this Texas location.
